How long does it take to learn touch typing?
With 10-15 minutes of daily practice, most people type without looking within 2-4 weeks and pass 40 words per minute in 2-3 months. Consistency is the key: a little every day beats a lot in one day.
Is MecanoMaster really free?
Yes. The full course, all 10 levels, music mode, the speed test and the certifications with a PDF diploma are free. There is no paid tier and no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Your progress is stored in your own browser. A verified email is only requested if you want to issue the certification diploma, so it can be validated by third parties.
Can the certificate be used for a job application?
Yes: the PDF diploma includes a verification QR code that any employer can scan to confirm online that the certification is authentic, with the speed score, accuracy and test date.
